How Internet is Changing the World

The Internet first started in the 1950's and 60's with the development of computers. For the first 20 years that the Internet was around there was very little photo and no multi media. The Internet was used for getting information and that was about it. The Internet had a great impact on the world since the day it started, it is good but also can be bad. These days you can get all kinds of information and photos on the Internet, you can find almost anything that you are looking for. The Internet is bad to give your personal information out on and is also a bad place to meet people, because you don't know who you are talking to. This is an advertisement of the Internet when it first came out.



These days there are very many different types of ways for people to communicate over the Internet. People can communicate by using Twitter, Facebook, Form spring, MSN and many other ways. All of these sites are great ways to communicate with your friends and family, especially if they live far away. Even though these sites are great for a lot of things they can also be bad for bullying and also sexual predators. I'm not to familiar with twitter but i am with Facebook. Facebook is a site where you can be friends with anyone around the world. Everyone has a profile that contains all of your information such as, where you live, how old you are, where you go to school, if your in a relationship, and everything that your interested in. This is bad for sexual predators, because they can see everything your interested in. That means that when they go to talk to you they already no all your interest if your in a relationship and other things. Or they could come to your house because that information is shown on your profile. Formsping is another sight that people can make profiles on, but when they talk to each other on this site, they can make themselves anonymous. This site is more for bullying because people can say anything at all and they will not no who it is.

Using facebook is very easy. First you go to http://www.facebook.com/ if you do not already have an account all you do is click on "sign up now".Then once you have the account made you log in with your e mail and password. Once you are logged in you can then start adding friends and other people. All you do is type the persons name you are looking for in the search bar and then click "add as friend". Once you have friends added you can then look at there profile, which contains pictures there personal information, and there daily status. You can also send messages to other people weather they are your friends or not. This is just a brief explanation of facebook there is also many more things that you can do on facebook such as games and other options. Just remember whatever you do be careful and avoid strangers.
